As someone who has chosen a meat-free lifestyle, I am grateful to live in a city with many amazing vegan options! Below, I am sharing my top 5 go-to take-out vegan restaurants in and around Boston.
1. Life Alive
Life Alive has become one of my staples for vegan food. There are times where I have been known to order takeout multiple times per day! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner). The restaurant has 5 locations in and around the Boston area and offers a wide variety of options. From plant-based grain bowls, soups, salads, smoothies, and juices- there are many options to choose from!
While Life Alive does offer seating, the restaurant is set up to order at the counter. It is a perfect place to get a meal to go or picnic in the Public Garden!

2. Jugos
Jugo’s has long been my go-to for fresh juice in Back Bay. Their #1 (kale, cucumber, green apple, lemon, and ginger) is my favorite! While their menu is not entirely vegan, they do have many delicious vegetarian options. It is a great place to get a smoothie bowl, salad, or rice bowl.

3. Stalk Kitchen
Located in Boston’s Lower Mill’s Neighborhood, Stalk Kitchen is a restaurant you can’t miss! It is a “ghost kitchen” inside Lower Mills Tavern currently offering takeout and delivery options. It is truly one of the best vegan meals I have had in a long time! You can order online and have it delivered straight to your door. I highly recommend their Herbed Tofu Steak and Delicate Squash Risotto!

4. By Chloe
With multiple locations in the US, Canada, and England, By Chloe has become a very popular go-to spot. Similar to Life Alive, the restaurant also has guests order at the counter before taking advantage of their indoor seating. By Chloe offers delicious vegetarian burgers, appetizers, salads, and even gluten-free desserts! The perfect spot for those looking for variety in their meal.

5. Coco Beat
Known for their cold-pressed juices and smoothie bowls, Coco Beat is a great place for healthy meals. Whether you are looking for a juice cleanse or a healthy meal, Coco Beat has what you need! They also have amazing sweets with clean ingredients- the Vanilla Berry Chia Pudding and Raw Brownie Truffles are some of my favorites.
