Looking for fun activities to do on Cape Cod this summer? You have come to the right place! I have broken down some of my top favorite activities to do with friends, kids, and family throughout Cape Cod.
1. Take a ride on a Biplane in Barnstable and Provincetown
One of the best views of Cape Cod is from above and at the Cape Cod Airfield you can feel as though you have stepped back in time as you take a ride on one of their biplanes. Located in both Barnstable and now Provincetown, you can book a ride on one of these three-seater Waco YMF-5 Biplanes to take you up into the sky to get an areal view of the surrounding areas.
If you are visiting Cape Cod with your family, the Cape Cod Airfield also offers sunset flight package on one of their larger planes, the Douglas DC3.

2. Go Sailing in Chatham on a Catamaran
If you are looking to go sailing this summer, look no further than Chatham Sail! Located on Ridgevale Beach, Chatham Sail is an all-encompassing spot that hits every vacation need! Chatham sail offers everything from customized sailing excursions, kayak and stand up paddle board tours, and lunch and ice cream at their beach shop. It is the perfect place for kids and families to spend the day at the beach or for groups of friends to spend their day out on the water.

3. Climb a few trees on a Ropes Course
If you are looking to have your Tarzan moment this summer and zipline through the trees, look no further than The Adventure Park at Heritage Museum and Gardens. The park offers 5 ropes course trails with different levels of difficulty. Spend your day testing your balance by navigating your way through the various ropes courses.
If falling is something you are concerned about, don’t be! The course has two separate clips for you to hook on to, just make sure that at least one of them is attached at all times. Plus the guides will take you through a lower, practice course just to show you how everything works.

4. Cycle around Falmouth on a Holiday Cycle
The Holiday Cycles located near Falmouth Harbor are one of the more fun ways to get around town! These two or four petal bicycles allow families and friends alike to spend time together exploring the area- all while getting in a great workout and being shielded from the sun! Holiday Cycles also rents out traditional bicycles to those who prefer to cycle on their own.

5. Visit the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory in Barnstable
Looking for an activity on a rainy day? Plan a visit to the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory in Barnstable! Admission is free. The factory has a hallway for visitors to watch as the chips are made. The best part is at the end of each visit you are allowed to take home a free bag of Cape Cod Chips!
For more information, check out their website here.
6. Visit the Gingerbread Houses on Martha’s Vineyard
If you have the chance to visit Martha’s Vineyard, I highly recommend taking the time to wander around the Gingerbread Cottages. These brightly colored homes were built in the 1800s by Methodists who gathered on the island during the summers. In an attempt to outdo one another, each home is decorated in different bright colors with wooden frills and porches. I highly recommend spending an afternoon getting lost among these unique homes!
Note: These cottages are privately owned homes so be mindful as to not trespass onto their porches.

7. Take a Sunset Sail on the Liberte in Falmouth
Get a group of friends together and buy tickets to take a sunset cruise through the Vineyard Sound. While the boat does not offer food, you are allowed to bring your own snacks and they do have beverages that you can purchase. It is a great way to spend 2 hours with friends and family.
