They say that “the world is a book and those who don’t travel only read one page” (-Saint Augustine). Well if that is true, then page two of my story didn’t begin until I was 22 years old.
Hi, I’m Caroline, or Carolina J as my dad likes to call me. And yes, you read that right. As much as I travel the world now, it was not until I graduated from college that I went on my first real international trip. Apart from Canada, I had never adventured outside of the United States. The thing about traveling though is that once you start, it is really hard to stop.
That first year abroad I visited over 13 countries. From cruising through Europe with my family to teaching and traveling abroad in Asia, I was hooked. When I finally came home to Boston and started my career teaching preschool, I found myself planning bucket-list getaways during the school holidays. I had never been more grateful for summer vacation!
At the suggestion of a friend, I started documenting my travels on Instagram. What started as a hobby turned into my full-time career! I began working with brands + partnering with hotels + tourism boards to visit places I had only ever dreamed about. In the past 8+ years, I have truly created the life I once dreamed about.
