If you are planning a trip to Fiji, I highly recommend a stay at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay! I was fortunate enough to have spent time at the property with fellow travel blogger and photographer Paulina Perrucci. Between the friendly staff, luxury amenities, and over water villas, this Fijian resort is truly magical.
Choosing a Room
During our stay, Paulina and I had the opportunity to stay in two different types of rooms. We started our trip off in a Deluxe Lagoon Suite with a view of the pool before moving to one of the Over-Water Bungalows. The deluxe suites are your standard rooms. They are very spacious and offer guests amenities such as flat screes tvs and a private balcony. The room also provides the option to connect to an adjoining room if you are traveling with a larger party.

While the deluxe suites are more affordable, there is something magical about staying in the overwater bungalows. The bungalows are very spacious and include high vaulted ceilings, a walk in closet, a king sized bed, and a private balcony with a staircase that leads to the water. The bungalows only sleep two and are the perfect place to stay for a romantic vacation away.

Another great option to stay in are the Lagoon Bure and Ocean Front Bure rooms. The rooms are a little bigger than the standard Deluxe rooms while also offer higher ceilings. One of the perks of these rooms is that when you walk outside your door you have access to your own private section of beach.
Dining
The Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay has many delicious and healthy dining options. The resort hosts 4 main restaurants, a cocktail lounge, and a snack bar. And of course, you can always order room service if you don’t feel like going out.
Goji Kitchen and Bar
Goji is the main restaurant on the property and our favorite place to go for breakfast. Each morning the restaurant offers a large buffet breakfast that includes Asian and Indian inspired dishes. The Goji buffet includes eggs, toast, pastries, fresh fruit and fruit juices, Acai bowls, and even gluten free options. You can even custom order Asian style stir fry or create your own omelette.
Fish Bar
The Fish Bar is possibly one of my favorite restaurants to eat at! Located next to the property’s infinity pool, the Fish Bar offers many healthy options as well as a beautiful view of the ocean. You can choose to sit inside the restaurant or in the covered, outside section, with your table in the sand. I highly recommend eating dinner here one night for one of the best views of the sunset.
Lagoon House & Bar
Lagoon House & Bar is the Italian restaurant on the property. It is the perfect place to go to indulge in some delicious comfort food, including pizzas and pastas.
Lagoon Lounge
Lagoon Lounge is the perfect place to go to socialize with other guests and indulge in a cocktail after dinner. The lounge often hosts activities, including live music, a pool table, and a fire pit.
Fiji Baking Company
Fiji Baking Company is the coffee shop on the property. It is the best place to get a freshly made pastry or snack to hold you over between meals. They also make some very delicious smoothies if you are looking for a healthy alternative to a cocktail.
Voi Voi Bar
The Voi Voi Bar is the resort’s newest restaurant. It is only open for lunch, but if offers guests a place to hang out outdoors while enjoying some BBQ style comfort food.
Water Sports
During your stay at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, I highly recommend checking out the Watersport activities desk! It is one of the best and easiest ways to get out on the water and explore some of the surrounding islands. Paulina and I decided to do a 7 hour boat charter and it was by far one of our favorite days of our trip. We worked with our tour guide to create an itenary of all the places we wanted to visit, including a sandbar, the filming location of the movie Castaway with Tom Hanks, and the Malamala Beach Club.
If you are considering visiting the Malamala Beach Club or Cloud 9 during your trip to Fiji, I highly recommend taking advantage of Fiji Marriott’s boat charter. To rent a boat for 7 hours costs less than $700 USD, and it is convenient! Otherwise, I am told that you can take a taxi to Nadi and hop on a shuttle boat to the island.
In addition to boat charters, the resort also offers snorkeling, jet ski tours, sailboat charters, paddle boarding, parasailing, snorkeling, and more.
Ammenities
There is so much to explore on the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay property! Paulina and I spent a full week at the hotel and barely left property. The resort offers 2 adult swimming pools, one kids pool, a fitness center, and a spa. In addition, the hotel organizes multiple daily activities, including morning hikes, volleyball tournaments, dance classes, and live music. It truly is the perfect spot to unwind.
